1—
Prices are rough US averages, not live quotes. Water is 1 gallon per person per day. Food is about 2,200 calories a day per adult, 1,600 per child, and 1,000 per toddler. Diapers are about 7 a day per child under 3. Ready-to-feed formula is about one 32 oz bottle a day per formula-fed baby. Safety: never run a generator, grill, or camp stove indoors or in a garage, and babies always sleep on their backs in their own crib.

Rules that don't bend
Carbon monoxide has no smell.
Never run a generator, grill, camp stove or charcoal indoors or in a garage, even with the door open. Battery CO alarms on every floor and in the sleep room.
Generator: outdoors, 20 feet out.
A generator is backup only. Outdoors only, at least 20 feet from the house, exhaust pointing away from doors, windows and vents.
Formula: ready-to-feed, never watered down.
Ready-to-feed formula needs no water. If you mix powder, use bottled water or water brought to a rolling boil for 1 minute and used within 30 minutes. Never water formula down, never make homemade formula.
Safe sleep, every sleep.
The rules don't change in an emergency. Babies sleep on their backs, on a firm, flat surface in their own crib, bassinet or portable play yard, with no pillows, bumpers, blankets or soft toys. Use a sleep sack for warmth.
No fuel-burning heaters inside.
No camp stoves, grills, ovens, charcoal or kerosene heaters for warmth. One warm room, layers and sleeping bags instead.
Practice, not risk.
On the lights-off weekend the fridge, freezer and any medical device stay on their circuits, the CO alarms are tested and a phone stays charged.
Not medical advice. Ask your pediatrician about doses and feeding.
